    please help me

From DOS it's FDISK /MBR (Upon startup XP will automatically write a new MBR after this procedure). From XP repair console it's FIXMBR There is one other for the repair console; I can't remember it, but type HELP to get a list of commands. -Scott

Getting Rid of the Option to Select Operating System

You could boot to dos and FDISK /MBR, XP should automatically reload a proper boot record. Or edit the boot.ini file located in C: (may have to unhide protected OS files). Or boot from XP cd, enter console and use the FIXMBR command (should do same thing as FDISK /MBR in dos). Or above post. -Scott

Lian Li cases are NOT "All That And A Bag Of Chips" (Long...get a drink first)

I've had my Lian-Li PC-65 long enough that I've put 6 motherboards in it and I've never had ANY trouble with the standoffs. (BTW, the standoffs are made out of steel). I have found that for tidy wiring you need to: -leave the top optical drive bay open, so that all the extra PS wires can be...

    First System

And what does this have to do with "word processing, internet, and maybe movies"? I think the system is good, but I would change the video to a FX5200 for about $55-$60. I would spend that few bucks you saved with the vid card and get a 8MB cache hard drive. Also, for another $10 or so you...

can ony one tell me this..

I think you would actually be better off laying flat on your back. That would leave a greater surface area to absorb the impact, not to mention that your back is stronger than your legs. -Scott

Powerbooks are great except I can't stand the trackpads on them. They just don't track as well as their pc counterparts. Mouse movements are sluggish and frustrating on the powerbooks (and ibooks). -Scott

    Computer hardware sellers in Canada

Dangeo.com in Alberta is great. Really good selection of products. I've ordered there several times and been very happy. I'm in BC so it's nice to save the PST. Bigfootcomputers.com is my other favorite. Lots of mod stuff. -Scott

Why do people drive with both hands on the steering wheel?

It's even more amazing that an electrical short on a Ford would cause a GM to lose it's power steering. It's assumed that glugglug is talking about your older pontiac you mentioned earlier in this post Shockwave. Aren't you the literate one....

Why do people drive with both hands on the steering wheel?

It's pretty amazing that an electrical short would cause a belt driven power steering pump to fail... I really hope your post was also a joke, like half of this thread.

    Is this a good monitor?

Ummm, I work at a local retailer and we do offer 1 pixel warranties on certain brands. Also, if you buy any LCD from us with even one dead pixel (within 2 weeks) we'll replace it with a defect free one. (Most defective pixels that happen are present before the box is opened). Newegg will not do...

    Is this a good monitor?

This is what scares me: Dead Pixels Policy: Replacement or Refund for 8 or more DEAD PIXELS ONLY! That's why I prefer local retailers for LCD's. Easier return or swap if there are dead pixels. Also, 60HZ refresh rate is standard with LCD's. More is better is true for CRT's only. -Scott
