First of all, my apologies, I am just here to rant and vent my frustration with the death of the 16:10 ratio :) All 2013 ultrabooks by Asus, Acer, Dell, HP, Toshiba, Sony, Lenovo, Samsung so far, all of them, have 16:9 resolutions. None of them have any unique selling points (USP) whatsoever...

PC turning off and on and off and on

You should try to reseat everything if possible. Even a dislodged graphics card can cause this symptom. Also, before Windows load, keep pressing F8, and go to "Disable Automatic Restart when error" something like that (if it says Enable... it's already disabled). If you have it on, bluescreen...

new router better than the WRT54GL?

I am using Asus RT-N16 router for about a year with Tomato custom firmware. It's the first time I used custom firmware and to be honest I am very impressed with the stability and features such as QoS.

4GB vs 8GB

With RAM so xxx cheap it's a sin not to get 8GB over 4GB. It will be noticeable if you run memory hungry 64-bit apps like photoshop. I am running 16GB with fancycache. I know fancycache is a beta software But I've run it for a year and it's really good for HDD caching if you have spare RAM...

Windows 7, hard drives power cycle repeatedly after resuming from sleep

Hi. I am running RAID 1 with two Hitachi 2TB HDDs on Intel Z68 chipset, running latest chipset and rapid storage drivers. I don't know when the problem begun, but after resuming from sleep, the two Hitachi HDDs (and only them) would power cycle repeatedly upon disk access. I can hear clicking...

Any comments on the G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 9-9-9-24 RAM?

I've been using 16GB of these at 1T command rate and slightly lowered CAS at 8. I have not had success overclocking, but I think that's due to my CPU, not the RAM.

Difference between G.Skill Ripjaws and Ripjaws X RAM?

Apart from any difference in timing and frequency, Ripjaws X is designed for 2nd generation (Sandybridge) chipsets and usually run at 1.5V or even 1.35V low voltages, wheras Ripjaws are older RAMs which usually run at 1.6V or above.

Is there a way to figure out what's preventing my PC from going to sleep?
