Insurance: hit & run

As it was explained to me, it didn't have to be your fault to affect your rates. If you are in a bunch of not your fault accidents, you are still a higher risk to insure so they will up your rates.

I was rear ended by a driver that ended up being uninsured (not a hit and run, we exchanged info but it turns out his insurance hadn't been paid for for the last 6 months) so I initially filed a claim through his insurance and got estimates for fixing the damage which from looking at it...

Crutchfield has good search tools for things like that. From the looks of it Kenwood and JVC both offer it, but as far as I know, none of them update the firmware of older models to support new features, mainly to correct errors in the current firmware.

Why am I not surprised that you have raptors in your HTPC, let alone 5 of them? For all your expensive cables and other mumbo jumbo, you have huge glaring issues with your whole setup that would cost very little remedy and could have a measurable effect on your sound...

If you really want good cabling, you need to upgrade from silver to a super conductor. Sure it's expensive to keep them cold while the music is playing, and pumping the liquid nitrogen around the listening room can look a little messy (not to mention dealing with the condensation) but the way...

The game is still alpha so it's pretty rough at this point and new features are getting added pretty regularly. Also, the point with most of these games is that you don't have direct control over the citizens. You only influence what they do. I got the game in the Alpha bundle from Indie...

Nah, it's just how it works. Generally scientists make the broad discoveries and the theory behind how it works and engineers work out how apply the theory in the "real" world. You need both types to get anything done.

Why was the news/media so misleading about phone prices?

While I agree that the US carriers are overpriced, comparing them to GB isn't a fair comparison. The population density is so much higher in GB that it makes it much easier to provide coverage and upgrade your network there. I would be curious to see the cost in somewhere like Canada or...
