monitor popping

Older Trinitrons do this when theyre on their last leg. I had a Sony G500 21 incher do the same thing. It led a good life, I just used it till it didnt wake up from sleep one day...

ASUS A8N-SLi BIOS Update question ?

I assume you got a manual and a software CD with your board? Theyre not for show, you know :P The Asus Update utility comes on CD with the board, at least it came with my Deluxe. You can also get the newest version on Asus' website under the downloads/utilities section. Why did you have to...

A8N-SLI DeLuxe Memory Timings

marciorr, let us know how 2 sticks works out. I had a buddy who also had problems running 4 sticks with any kind of overclock or timing tweaks. Everything I have seen points to 4 sticks being problematic at tight timings of any kind, whether it be command rate or CAS lantency, etc. I forget...

See my sig for the timings I'm running. Also, since youre running 4 sticks, 1T command rate is outta the question. And running 2-2-2-5 on 4 sticks is also hit and miss, I think.

I'm really kinda freaked by hearing so many people saying their Asus Update isnt working after these last few BIOS releases. I used version 6.06.1 to update to 1010 final, and I think I'm staying put. I dont have a dual core proc yet, and dont see any obvious reason to update any further when...

3000+ Venice temp. at 29C on K8N Neo2 Platinum?

Arent Venice core A64s supposed to be cooler than Winchester and previous cores? My Winny idles at 30c, but I am also watercooling, and running a mild overclock.

I agree Insomniak, except that it is a pity that the A8N SLI Deluxe is the only board with this problem when it comes to overclocking. Regardless, I'm still pretty happy with mine overall.

OK, back on topic. Is this BIOS worth flashing to for people running 1008 or later? I mean, aside from supporting dual core procs, has ANYTHING been done to warrant upgrading to this BIOS version?

Oh Noes!! My Asus A8N-SLI is Hanging! (Possible Sound Blaster Problem!)

11.584 isnt too good for a 12v rail, however if you got this reading from anything that wasnt a multimeter, I wouldnt put too much trust in it.

A8N-SLI Deluxe 1011.001 beta bios is out!

Asus is having a BIOS-O-RAMA!!! As usual, is this one doing ANYTHING better than previous? After the last few updates, I really dont see the point in flashing unless there's something to make it worth my time.

Azureus and SLI

I run Azureus all the time. With no issues at all. Since it needs Java runtimes, try updating your Java to latest version, etc.

ASUS A8N-SLI DeLuxe - Wich BIOS?

I'd still get that 12v reading with a multimeter. My powerstream reads 11.92 on the board's BIOS sensor, but with a multimeter, I found it was pushing 12.1 volts. Sensors are always off by varying degrees.
