DSL Users (Esp. SBC) ... What Kind of D/L Speeds Do You Get ?

i got approx 2Mbps downstream and 190Kbps upstream. I wish upstream was a little faster though... This is at my office that I work at. Not at my house. EDIT: What's the point of turning off the DSL modem? Just leave it on forever. I do that with both the DSL modem and my personal cable modem.

Is it possible to tweak UDP upstream speed for a cable modem? I am wondering because I wish to have a minor gaming server.

Why do W2k and Win XP print so much slower than Win 98?

A local printer problem? Try what MedicBob said. That should take care of it. If it's on a print server or something, download the newest print drivers. Actually wait, download the newest print drivers anyway :).

Can Windows Repair Itself By Itself?

Just a logical question.... WHY DO YOU NEED WIN98SE OR LINUX IN YOUR MACHINE!!?? Just wondering. I really think that if you have WinXP Pro that you shouldn't worry about having an additional OS (in the Win family) unless you run Linux-based programs.

Windows XP Professional crashing or what?

Same thing happened to me once also. It would come to the loading your personal settings thing and sit there. It would eventually load my settings though -- after about 12 minutes. I just did a reinstall.

Diddo. Windows labels the disks so it knows what disk is what. Reinstalling Win2k SHOULD solve your problem. If you don't like this solution, you can try taking out your old HDD... I take it Win2k is on there? Then you gotta reinstall Windows! Sorry that this was the only solution I can...

Help my task bar caught some weird disease.

I've had that myself sometimes. I usually just reboot the computer and it's fine. Did you try rebooting?

I want to sign on automatically on XP.

Delete the .NET account or any other accts. and make sure you disable the guest acct. It should work now. Anyone know what the .NET acct is for?

LED Binary Clock!!
