WTF Happy Days became stupid!!!

I used to think that Happy Days show was ok to watch when nothing else was on, but now Richie is gone and they replaced him with some guy named Roger Phillips like I wouldn't notice. WTF! anyone know what happened to Richie? Also, the show is no longer funny anymore!
