What do I do about visiting sites were I'd be logged in automatically but transmit the username/passwords unsecurely (such as here, Gmail, Yahoo fantasy teams and the like)?
Do I need to make sure I don't access them, taking a risk if I do, or something I can do to still access them but do so...
Can you clarify what that statement means exactly?
Does it mean any site I log into that someone could get my username/passwords? I don't care if they see what site I visit but I'd want to secure passwords (although I assume anything with a secure connection would be fine like bank, credit...
I have a laptop that I'm planning on using for an extended period at a hotel (unknown at this time which). Up to now it has functioned basically as a desktop and is currently setup for dial-up access.
Are there any specific precautions I should take when using it on a hotels network?
I'm...
Thank you kindly.
One follow-up if you feel so inclined.
On the Angles setting, if I set it to off would that still allow one to use angles if available but just disable the player from automatically displaying an icon or disable the feature altogether?
On the DVD player setup menu what should the following be set as?
SPDIF= off/raw/pcm
Display= P&S/LBX (have 4:3 TV and would assume LBX but both appear the same so just wanted to confirm it is as I'm expecting)
Angles= On/Off (do I need to select on so that DVDs that offer this feature...
So even though WU lists it for it shouldn't be so I don't need to install it right?
Is it listed for everyone else here that already has SP2 and not any of the programs it mentions might have this flaw? I'm just wondering if it is something that I should download from WU anyway.
So the regedit is the only way again to stop it from running with OE?
No wonder everyone hates MS when something that should be so simple to allow the user to choose what they want through actual program settings can't be done. What would it take them, all of five minutes to add that...
If this only affects people either without SP2 or with SP2 with Office then why is WU giving it to me to install?
I have SP2 and don't have Office but it is listed as a critical update for me through WU. Am I supposed to install it or not?
I used to just rename the Messenger folder to Messenger Disabled in order to keep the program but force it not to run with OE but SP2 seems to not care and now it's back running with OR every single time.
How can I get it not to run with OE without either deleting it or completely removing...
Re: The Pi video transfer.
It isn't anamorphic so I've held off buying this but, just wanted to confirm, they can make an anamorphic transfer from a 1.66:1 orignal aspect ratio without modifying it correct? If not, then I will finally pick it up but otherwise I will wait for an anamorphic...
