Need some serious opinions

Yep, it's definately a confidence issue. Can't tell exactly how you look like with just a mug shot, but you're not ugly. If you're worried about your apperance, perhaps get some new clothes or change your hair. As said, there are much uglier guys that have very good lookin women .. looks...

guitar players..

Nope .. shouldn't take more than a minute or two to tune your guitar. Easist way would be to have multiple guitars, each one designated for a different tune. :D

Greatest DRUMMER ever in a rock band or wuteva.

Couple names I haven't seen mentioned in this thread.. Sean Reinert - (Death, Cynic, Aghora) Flo Mounier - (Cryptopsy) Tomas Haake - (Meshuggah) All play in death metal bands, but are extremely versatile.. In terms of regular rock, Portnoy would get my vote as well.

6600GT or 6800..

I'm looking for an upgrade to my 9800Pro which I purchased about a year ago. I'm giving it to my dad for Father's Day, since he really liked the card (I swapped it out and put it in my case, giving him my old GeForce2 :)). Of course now, I'll be in the market for a new card.. I haven't been...

Fender Strat or Gibson Les Paul

I'm not saying that they aren't good instruments. They ARE good guitars, but personally, I just like other guitar manufacturers (PRS, ESP, Parker, etc.) more than Gibson or Fender. Just my opinion.

?? Not exactly. Though you don't have to know theory to play music, it is VERY helpful to know it. Especially when trying to write your own music.

That's the best way. You can use a chart for reference of course, but obviously you'll want to physically hit those notes instead of just reading them. That way, your ear can get accustomed to the pitch that note makes, which will help greatly when it comes to "learning by ear", and also...

Question for Guitar people

Most modeling amps sound quite "artificial", but then again they're not supposed to be used for gigging. The Roland Cube 30 will probably give you the best bang for your buck. I've also heard good things about the VOX AD30VT, though I haven't played one myself. I personally don't like Line6...
