the only thing audio related in my bios that i see shows like this: Audio: choice 1 (EDB) or choice 2 (PCI) its set at edb. its default and yeah there is a lot of forum trolls around because this is urgent to me since i have spent more than 40 hours researching a solution

two days ago i started up my computer and BAM. no audio. i open up the volume control and it says "There are no active mixer devices available. To install mixer devices, go to Control Panel click Printers and other Hardware and the click Add Hardware". so i go into my device list thinking...
