It won't work unless he gets professional ISF calibration/focusing/convergence, even then it still won't be easy to read text at it's native resolution.
wow.....just wow
Ever hear of CRT projection? I guess you guys call these plain "projections"
What is worse is they still make them and advertise the name, yet you don't know they exist

Well I guess I will run out to CircuiCity and try it out then, I don't think I will like it though.
edit: I hear these have really bad buzzing issues, that is why I didn't consider it in the first place.
Your Xbox 360 should not be washed out unless you haven't received any of the Xbox Live updates. They fixed the gamma issue half a year ago and added DVD upscaling over VGA with it.
XTknight what panel would you go with for under $400? widescreen and 20.1inch are the only things I care for.
22inches works, but those are all poor TNs? I noticed a lot of them have horrible backlight bleeding but sometimes they don't.
Well how much better are Chi Mei panels than other generic ones? I guess I could go for the Benq or spectre.
How are they with dead pixels, and backlight bleeding?
Asus vs Spectre? I know the Spectre is going to give me HDMI so I could hook my cable box up to it if I ever wanted. Asus is...
A widescreen 20" monitor is going to have %20 more viewing area than a 20" 4:3 monitor in letterbox
Edit: I will be watching HD-DVDs on the monitor, thanks to Microsoft's $200 drive :)
PC monitor, more for multimedia but I still don't want any visible ghosting. I was thinking about a Dell 2007WFP, but the dell lottery doesn't sound fun.
I want to know what are some of the best non TN 20.1-22inch LCDs are, I am completely lost as LCD seems to be a more diverse technology then any other type of display. I have a budget that can go no higher than $400, less is preferred.
Oh and I want a widescreen LCD.
