I stopped by today and picked up the Gravis Blackhawk Digital for $4.99. It isn't USB and it doesn't have a Z-axis but it's a great price. Although the box is labeled Win95/Win98, you can download the Win2k drivers from their website here. The OD employee commented about the store not normally...

Eh, Oh lord! Western Digital's incredible......

I personally have had one Caviar 8.4 gig drive fail on me after about 15 months of use and one Expert 18 gig drive fail after 14 months of use. Both drives just started loosing / corrupting data (and subsequently produced error codes using the WD diagnostics). WD RMA'd the drives without issue...

Western digital data lifeguard returned a code of 0258.

I had the same error code (if memory serves) on my 18 gig Expert 7200 rpm drive. They replaced the drive when I told them the error code. Just call tech support and give them the error. It took about a week to turn around a replacement drive. I personally have had two WD drives fail on me and...
