Dual SATA USB dock power issues...

I actually have a similar one, but it is plugged in via esata. Mine is unable to use both hard drive slots simultaneously. I have read online that this is frequently the case and the result of the esata port on the computer. Perhaps what you're encountering is similar?

I believe the T-Mobile version also requires some sort of modification to get the wireless charging function working. There's a thread on XDA describing a fairly quick process involving some soldering.

Ideas on uses for HP Touchpad

I sold mine for $200 with case, touchstone, and charger about 6 weeks ago. Before that I had been using it as a bathroom reader with CM9 nightlies on it.

First PC build

Does anyone know if the MicroCenter deal on the 3570k/MB combo is still available? It would probably be a pretty good bet for a build in the $1k range. Also, if you're looking to play Borderlands 2, NewEgg currently has a deal on the GTX670 for $360 + Borderlands 2.

Upgrade Lappy or New Lappy?

If you're fine with the form factor of your laptop, then this sounds like a good idea. You will save loads compared to buying a new computer and still gain the majority of the performance benefits, which come from the ssd.
