I love my Logitech DiNovo Edge for Mac, though scrolling with the tiny built in round track pad can get annoying.

Anyone from Austin?

Scubasteve: Here in KC the "bad" areas kind of run in patches. There are several places where ghetto will be right next to really nice neighborhoods. Lots of places where good vs bad is a block for block basis (excluding the suburbs which is all bad) :). Is east Austin anything like this?

Yup. Something small for now. My wife is heading down first until I fix-up and sell our house in KC. Then we will be looking at houses after being there for a bit.

Thanks for all the info. Hopefully I'm not allergic to Mountain Cedar. We're heading down the week after xmas to go apartment hunting. From all the info, sounds like we'll be checking out S Congress and North of the campus.

So the wife and I are tired of Kansas City and are looking to move to Austin (long story why, but I went there a while back and loved it). Anyway, she's moving down there first, getting an apartment and getting settled while I deal with selling the house and all that fun stuff here in KC...

LCD utility software for MAC??

Motherboard issue - 2nd opinion needed

Good tip. I'm pretty sure in this case the "killer" is dust. The inside of the case is filthy. I'm talking dirt piles around the CPU, keyboard ports, memory slots. I'm sure this is what fried the machine (it's 2 years old). So remember kiddies - keep your machines clean! Bummer - looks...
