I've been to the store and did an exchange without an appointment within 5 minutes. You know why? I didn't need to go to the genius bar. The genius bar is where they figure stuff out for you and or to trouble shoot your device. I've also have had to use the genius bar for a stuck button and made...
Actually I read that its not an authentication chip but rather a chip that lets you plug in the cable in any direction. It just reverses the pin outs. This in itself acts like it blocks cheap ripoffs because its not a simple cable anymore. I'm sure vendors will be able to produce legitimate ones.
I have tried it, I was commenting on the previous poster who said all those devices were faster than the SGS3. I agree that the 4S and 5 are faster than the 4 without question.
Same. I had the iPhone 4 as well and that was WAYYYYYYYYY slower than the SGS3. This is across the board for me on my friends SGS3s as well (about 3 - 4 different handsets). Seems like he had a bad phone or something was screwy for sure.
I find it funny that I've seen many of your posts trying to explain this kinda stuff and people still suggesting things like....putting it in airplane mode until they need to make a call so they get great battery life. Or they turn off data/wifi completely and get great battery life. RLY...
The problem is. The browser version is laggy and is no where near as elegant as what used to be on the phone. It works, to a low level degree, but it won't make anyone feel like they're going back to what they used to have. Not by a long shot.
Yup, I got one of those and love it. It was 82 shipped from Newegg during their keyboard sale the other week. My only complaint is that the USB connection on the keyboard itself isn't as secure as I'd like but it's really a non issue. Topnotch quality otherwise.
Unfortunately, the function to send files and such on the iphone would be nice and it's a bummer it's missing, especially on my iPad. On my phone it's not a problem so much since I just use it to consume data in e-mails out on the field rather than produce data (word documents, etc)
Android development is a bigger pain in the ass given the meh sdk and the fragmentation that you have to account for when designing a piece of software. To people trying to make money, it's not even worth the time....
