Worst Graphics Card Purchases

Savage 2000? How about the Savage 4? Really dreadful! I rather liked the early Rage 128 Pro card that replaced it (but then it had twice the memory and an ATI theater chip). As far as early Radeons, I didn't have many problems with them until the 8500 (and even that is superior to a 9200)...

Why no love for the 750a?

No, it's still illegal. Downloading it is illegal. Having an unlicensed copy of Windows 7 is illegal. The unauthorized distribution of Windows 7 is illegal. Providing it to other (even without monetary gain) INCLUDING torrent seeding is illegal.

Phenom II info leaks out, AMD hints at something

So, a really foolish question. If these processors are supposed to be out in the first quarter of '09, shouldn't we have already seen early spins of the silicon out in the wild by now? After all it's mid-November. So, why hasn't anyone seen these yet?

Phenom II info leaks out, AMD hints at something

Looks pretty close to what AMD's hinted at. Phenom II X4 with 8MB of cache is probably the Deneb core while the Athlon X4 with a a 2MB cache is probably the Propos core. It makes sense to label the processors with lower amounts of cache as Athlons. Why give up a well recognized name?

Those benchmarks are very convincing. Obviously, Netburst processors (with their long instruction pipelines) are VERY dependent on cache size. Perhaps the P4 is the better choice.
