Hey everyone, I have an interesting question here for you. Recently my sister's emachine (T2824) had a mother board die on us. Rather than drop another 300 on a new emachine that really isn;t all that much faster than this one year old one, I bought a replacement motherboard instead. (Details...
read through this....it should answer all your questions

but i am not even positive if you have that particular spyware. have you run anything like spybot to check your system?
Just had to throw my 2 cents in. The caps lock key does have it's place, especially in the work environment. You have no idea how many times I have had to fill in a spread sheet comprised of all number and acronyms. I am always greatful for the caps key when I do work like that.
AntiStatic.....since I have the same case, fan, motherboard and a similar cpu I was wondering what your temps are. I am still sitting a little over 30c at idle with CnQ turned off.
Aside from drilling several holes through the drive, it will never be 100% safe. However, for reference, the gov iirc uses a standered of 7 passes with one of the diskkill type utilities. Now you being a normal every day person without top secret info on your drive, a couple passes of some...
Zepper,
I agree about the cage fan....I am less than thrilled with the power of that thing. However, since my temps are much better now I am in no rush to swap out those fans until I start to OC my chip.
Well I have a 120 intake and exhaust and a smaller fan as a top exhaust. The addition of this cross flow fan made a huge difference for me. Something to note though....my only intake fan was built into my hdd cage. So the fresh air was going over a raptor and another fast hdd. I am sure that...
Well I had a previus post saying how I couldn't get my temps down. I idled at 40c, case was around 38c, and at load my cpu got around 50c all stock. Got cool and quiet working which dropped idle around 29c and case around 30c. Load still spiked up to near 50c.
Well today I got the cross...
Finally got CnQ to work! The Q-Fan bios option was turned off. So anyway, that dropped the cpu temps down to 36, which I feel is still a little warm but better....however, the mb temps jumped to 40. I wish CnQ would let the fans stay on full speed while dropping the clock speed down. I may...
Being stubborn as I am, I was up till 3am trying to drop temps. I read the link zim provided, plus did my own search for different versions of the same topic with no luck. CnQ just wouldn't turn on. I then tried to route my wires better and while it is still not as clean as i want it, there...
Zim, you're gonna hate me, but even after following the directions in that link you gave me nothing has changed. I have the driver, set the power sceme to minimal, but yet the proc still shows full clock speed. Any other idea?
