Linux memory limit

Thanks or the replies, It is going to be a Dell 6600 server with 4- 2.0G Xe pross. Linux based operating system. I was looking at 4-8 G of RAM.

in a server enviromment is there a memory limit on a linux machine. Some windows have a 2g cap.

Problem with HP Printer

I Have a ABIT KT7A motherboard and was trying to install the driver software for a HP 960 printer. After loading the software on Windows ME I restarted the computer and received the message " Updating Hardware Information Database" window starts and stays at '0%' indefinitely. Does...

Is this possible? Would my mother board do this? Help! =(

Oh Yeh it also has to be plugged into the #1 FAN pins or the mother board will not "see" it and will NOT start up just BEEP and shut down. Hate to see a good motherboard gone bad.

this may sound simplistic, but have you changed CPU fans? if the fan speed sensor doesn't send a signal to the motherboard it will auto shutdown to protect the CPU, the fan may run but without the sensor, no BOOT. Hope it helps

I have seen this problem before, Check to make sure the new vidio display settings are the same as the old ones (ie. frequency, colors) you may have the default setttings for the new card over driving the display. this will cause internal components to over heat and lower rhe life span of the...

Well to install your old drivers go to the properties and open the sound card, look for the "update driver" button. when you gett to the install drivers, go to show list, it will already have your sound card and push have disk, direct it to the drive path for you old drivers. hi tok...

How do I recombine two partitions from one hard drive?

Well that's easy, go to: Dos FDISK.. remove extended partition ..remove primary partition.. follow instructions for making a new one.
