AMD reduces prices, new game bundle inbound

The prices on the 7850 were equivalent to newegg when they had them in stock. I wouldn't say that sucks. Biggest problem is Amazon sells out of the cheap ones and is left with the expensive ones.

In case anyone is still interested, looks like Amazon now has the Sleeping Dogs bundle available on 7850 cards. Newegg still lagging on those.

oh my goodness

It's very possible that Newegg's product details are wrong, but they state: Card Dimensions: 11.69" x 5.5" x 1.73"

Thanks for all the comments. I think I'm definitely leaning towards the 6870 and if I can find a good used one that would be great.

That might be a good way to go. I didn't see any 6870 listed on there now, but maybe I'll post a wanted thread and see what I can get. Also don't want to pick up someone else's problem card =)

Yeah that was exactly my line of thinking. The jump from 4850 to 6870 is a lot more than from 6870 to 7850. Seems like most people recommend getting the 7850 so I thought I'd see what responses I got here. I tend to alternate upgrading the CPU/MOBO/RAM and the video card, so I'll probably be...

New builder, hoping for some advice/reassurance on my first project

Just a thought, not sure about the relative performance/reliability of the video cards, but there is a 6870 for $136.49 AR at amazon right now. Might be a bit better than the 6850 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Need Advice - Radeon 6870 vs 7850 w/ details

As the title says, I'm deciding between a 1gb 6870 and a 2gb 7850 as an upgrade from my 512mb 4850. I'm not a huge gamer, but I like to play SC2, Diablo2, Skyrim (occasionally), and also my current card is hot/loud as hell., From what I've seen, the 7850 at stock is roughly 20% faster/better...

Got it this time. Only thing I can think of is the connection to the achievement server was bad, or the fact that I used a pause the first time and not the second.

Not in my case. I didn't even know there was a VS AI option in the SP Page. My process was this: Click the Multi Player tab. Click create a game under "Custom Games" Scroll to Lava Flow Double-click Change mode to FFA Add AI to fill teams Change difficulty to Insane Start Win No...
