I think as you climb the ladder, this is true. Many college students and graduates may not see it that way. There may also not be enough support at the top when it comes to hiring. I am really excited about this project, but it goes far beyond what these small surveys are. I am just using...
I am currently going through my Masters Degree and am in the process of doing a research project. That project revolves around the growing need for IT Professionals to have more business sense in the workplace. Sure, some of us just have to worry if the switch, router, server, or workstation...
I agree. I did the Tough Mudder in Amherst OH a little over a week ago, and that was hard. The Warrior Dash is easy sauce, but I still like doing it. :)
Actually, I have seen many counter offers end up turning into temporary assignments. Too many people take a counter offer, and then find themselves out of a job 4-6 months later. Hasn't happened to anyone at my current place of employment, but I know it happens.
I do agree with the people...
You make some good points BoomerD. It really still doesn't change my feelings towards this organization. It has been a great match for over five years now. The next two weeks are going to be hard on me. I suppose these feelings I have are natural. It is my hope that my new job will be this...
I have been working in the same place for over five years now as a infrastructure manager and it has been a great place to work. I haven't went out looking for work actively because it has been such a great place. I don't think a day has went by where I haven't looked forward to going in and...
I worked on campus in the computer labs at first. Worked my way up to be a technician. Then I worked my way up to be a supervisor and network admin. I also did 2 internships on campus working on the network. Was a great job and I didn't have to pay state taxes since it was a state...
I have a 24 inch LCD Dell that works great. I don't think I will upgrade the LCD anytime soon. Maybe its a good idea that I just wait until next year and buy new. Spending $200-$300 now on hardware may not be the best use.
I had to remove the antialaising in MW2. There are some effects that can bring my computer down a bit in framerate. Its not a huge deal, but I want something that can help my computer along for another 12 months before I upgrade.
I really don't know if buying dual GTX would be worthwhile...
I have an EVGA 680i SLI motherboard with a quad core processor in it (overclocked to 2.9). Yes, its a 2 year old system but still in excellent running condition. I would like to give my system a little extra boost in performance when playing games (if possible).
I have 2 8800GTS (G92)...
Very true, but I see it more 50/50. There are a strong sect of people who think that you have a MoH and you should be able to bend the rules a bit. I see the value of that too. Hell, he fought for our country and deserves to have the rules bent for him. If he gets stopped by a traffic cop...
This is the best post in this thread so far. As much as I think he should be allowed to erect his flagpole and fly the American flag with pride, at the same time he broke the rules. The bylaws of his association say differently. So he bucks the trend because he has a MoH. Personally, I...
The problems here in MI go far beyond who the govenor is now. Years of tax breaks going to the automotive industry and investing in automotive and blue collar jobs have really hurt MI. The industries are dying and MI is suffering.
You can thank Romney and Milliken for starting that...
