Well, such a feature would be largely irrelevant with a game such as Dead Space... But, I understand your point... :P However, several games DO have that functionality: Lost Planet: Colonies Edition, Universe at War: Earth Assault, Shadowrun, and a few others...

Crysis Warhead - Activation Disabled - Can not play

For the single player disc, there's a way around it. If you know what I mean. ;) Anyways, be glad that the multiplayer doesnt have an install limit.

Crysis Warhead Review

They rebalanced most of that, specifically the vehicles and weapons. All reviewers have said the multiplayer is considerable better now.

Well, its not 100% certain per say. But I do know that DRM is the publisher's prerogative. EA is doing the retail versions, but not the Steam versions, Empire Interactive is. EDIT: Apparently, EA is doing the steam versions. They must have edited overnight... STill no news on whether there is...

Modern Space Combat Titles

Try out Nexus: The Jupiter Incident. Fantastic big ship combat. VERY difficult. But a beautiful game.
