It appears that it's just this monitor. On other monitors they offer their "Express Coverage", which looks like an add-on option. But apparently it's not an option for the G2400WD anymore. Odd. Their prices for that (and the Samsung T240 & T240HD) are great though... $250 for the T240, $280...

That's normal for 22". 1680x1050 in 22" is 0.282mm per pixel, which is roughly the same as 1920x1200 in 26". 1920x1200 in 22" would be quite small. Basically. If the monitor doesn't have speakers, then whether the cable carries audio won't matter to you. Whether you'd prefer HDMI or DVI...

Yeah, I know that the G2400WD is highly recommended here and elsewhere, but I don't know exactly what sets it apart from other 24" TN panels -- is it just that it has been professionally reviewed, and most haven't, or is its panel really superior to others? I guess the TN monitors don't get...

I haven't heard it. I'm not the expert on this thread, but I didn't mean to imply that 0.28mm would look blurry. I'm guessing (and someone here can correct me if I'm wrong, I'm sure) that next to a 24", the smaller would look sharper. But I doubt you could tell without seeing the two next to...

Ha. Well, to be fair, the HP is roughly the same speed (5ms or 6ms GTG depending on who you listen to), and has fairly low input lag according initial tests. But the Planar does have a great warranty and dead pixel policy, which is certainly worth money. Up to you whether it's worth the $150...

So, judging by the not-too-positive early reports of the DoubleSight 265W, the most compelling 24"-to-26" options that are widely available seem to be the HP LP2475W and the Planar PX2611W, right? I think I'm mentally discounting the NECs because they're in 30" cost territory. Those in Europe...

I think "not really useful" is too strong. I know the colors will be oversaturated on non-color-managed apps, but do you think that really makes the monitor useless? (I've never had a WG monitor myself, but I'm starting to read reviews about the HP LP2475W)

Thanks for the updates, alanj. That looks like an interesting monitor -- certainly the cheapest 30". For the price, though, I'm sorry that it's not perfect.
