I second that. It's Chuck E. Cheese's for the tourist crowd. The food is atrocious and overpriced and an hour or two wait just to get in the damn door. Pepe Verdi To Go has very good authentic Italian. Don't expect much ambience though. Izu is great for Thai ... although it's an offshot of...

I got lucky, the F was running. Although it took my twice as long to get from Brooklyn to Union Square in a packed car without AC.

It's pretty much mom and pop shops and expensive resorts. All the hotel chains are zoned for Riverhead and below ... and even they jack their rates during the summer.

I had my wedding reception outside of Montauk at Gurney's Inn and just love that area. The beaches are fantastic and the the towns are really nice. I try to make it out at least three times a year to see my wife's family and go for a swim and a tan. That being said, it's absolutely terrible...

Does anybody else have a flaky PCI-E slot? AGP works fine but when I use PCI-E I have to reseat a couple of times just to find the right angle before it will give me a post or anything. Really frustrating because I can't take the PCI-E card out. The best way I can explain it is that feels...

Catholic Weddings

During the initial interview they do ask you a lot of softball morality questions. Nothing that bad though. The most boring part is Pre-Cana which for us was an 8 hour sermon-fest. It was mostly made up of lame summer camp-esque group activities lead by, ironically, extremely miserable couples...

3rd party GC controllers don't work on wii?

No. They just worked. I had to select the Gamecube channel with the Wii Remote, but that's it.

To those who have had the Wii for a little while now...

Camp out at your computer at 9:30ish EST and hit refresh on the Circuit City website. They have been getting gobs of them in every day. You can remove everything out of the bundle except the extra Wii remote. I got one yesterday by casually checking in for a couple of days.

Major gas leak in Manhattan?

I took the R this morning and the Herald Square station REEKED of gas. When I got out at Union Square, I still smelled it. Just got an email from our company recommending us to avoid the subways and stay indoors until furthur notice. Great.
