3 sticks of ram die at once, or another problem?

okay.... this morning I tried all the ram sticks in the first slot again and they all seemed to work... so I slotted them all back in and suddenly all four gig is fine again. Does this mean the ram is fine and its something else? Or could the ram be working on and off? Something is definitely...

Cheaper option to Corsair CX400W

Its not horrendously old, its an Acer x3200 Aspire that came with a Phenom x3 8450 (and Nvidia 9200 on board graphics). It seems just stuck with the basic x3200 system while upgrading and seem to have added more powerful components each time without upping the PSU ever. It was bought factory...

Can I upgrade this?

Is there a program like that that will work out the wattage being used by a pc, so far I've always just used the calculator on Antec.com as I've always just went for a psu that is about 30% higher than needed, this time though I need to be more accurate. Also as I'm not really all that...

Its a Phenom x3 8450 processor. Using the Antec psu calculator I got a reading of 192W or 183W depending on whether it has 2 or 4 sticks of ram (4gig's overall). Though I guess it is posible that with the higher processor they bundle it with a larger psu, if they don't I dont see how she could...

Advice on replacement psu

Are you sure that 400W will be enough? the 880GTS rakes a lot of power in, as does the cpu of course. Add on the rest of it it does seem like 400W is quite small. I'm open to suggestions though and I'll certainly look in to it. I'll hunt down one of those psu wattage requirement programs...
