ATI scaling issue greyed out options.

For what it's worth, I have to be in non-native resolution for the option to select scaling methods to not be greyed out. I seem to recall the option stopped working for me once, and after clean uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for a different reason it started working again. You...

Does 560 ti 1gb slied= 2gb vram?

Since each of the GPU's is on its own memory bus it needs a local copy of everything. Even on a dual GPU card.

Correct. Just use a DisplayPort cable. Also the adapter you ordered from Newegg doesn't look like an Active adapter. It should say Active on it if it is, and it should cost $25-$30 for a single link active adapter. If you still can, you should cancel that order, and order a DisplayPort...

Eyefinity and my rig

It needs to be an Active DP->DVI adapter. Not sure which one you have. But if it's passive it won't cut it. The GPU can only send 2 DVI/HDMI signals at once, the rest have to be native DisplayPort, so you need an active adapter that can take a DP signal and convert it to DVI. A passive one...

Non-native resolutions and hardware scalers

Anybody know if there is single-GPU 3-monitor support without displayport or FLEX?

You could wait for a dual GPU keppler. All the dual GPU nVidia cards can run 3+ monitors native DVI.

Eyefinity mode means the monitors are 'grouped' into 1 large desktop. In CCC -> Desktop Management it would show up as 1 very wide desktop. You can go in there and right clicked the desktop layout and selected 'Create Group' to set up Eyefinity. Eyefinity is really meant for gaming, no real...

Screen Tearing Eyefinity

You should only get the screen tearing if you are in Eyefinity mode. If you are in extended desktop mode, you shouldn't get tearing on any of them. If you are in Eyefinity mode, you can go into CCC -> Desktop Management, then at the bottom of that page it should have your 3 monitors listed...

I actually get the same thing. Apparently the problem is, if using mixed connections (some DVI, some DP), one of them will not be able to be v-synced. The ATI CCC actually has an option for which Eyefinity monitor you want to be the 'primary' and get the best quality (ie guaranteed v-sync)...

No, but if you're gaming the sizes won't match up quite right so it will look a little weird. You also won't be able to turn on bezel compensation. If you're using monitors you already have sitting around it's something you can live with but if buying new I'd try to match up size as best you can.

Feedback on triple monitor setup.

I have 3 1920x1080 23" monitors. I think I would've been happier with 3 1680x1050 monitors. 3 x 16:9 is wider than necessary in landscape and too narrow when used in portrait. Also the lower pixel count of 1680x1050 would let me run at higher settings. I still love the setup though. I...
