SOLVED.... The Raid drivers on the mobo CD-Rom are not for the 890 chipset. (Asus M4A89GTD Pro/USB3) A download of the correct drivers allowed me to redefine and rebuild the Raid1 array.

SOLVED: AMD Raid drivers for the 890GX Chipset on the mobo CD-Rom are not for the 890 Chipset. Updating the Raid driver with the correct driver allowed me to get into the RaidXpert app and redefine the array and rebuild the array.

A messed up OS on a RAID1 ... The original OS disc with slipstreamed apps and drivers is sitting in Texas ( along with the Key ) ! I'm in BC, Canada ! The original install on the PC was a single drive with XP on it and dual booting to a RAID1 setup for Win7. Right at the moment it's a mess...

In BIOS there should be a menu item about USB controller. If it's a really recent laptop; it may be a selection for USB Legacy; USB2.0 or USB 3.0. Go thru the BIOS and check for USB 2.0 is enabled.

A buddy has a Dual boot system. Xp on a single SataHDD; and Win7 on a Raid 1 dual SataHDD setup. Xp boots okay. Win 7 won't boot. Looking at the Raid HDD's I see both show up in "My Computer" PLUS 2 partitions on each of the Raid drives. Normally under Raid 1 I think I should only see 1...
