Computer beeps and beeps

Posting this for a friend. If he didn't live so far, I could fix it for him. anyways. he said: Computer beeps every 5 second when the computer is powered up. He resets about 40 times, it would go away and the computer runs perfect. The computer would run perfect for 2 days, then act up again...

We're sorry. SBC Yahoo! DSL isn't available in your area at this time. I really wished there was broadband around my neighborhood. No cable, no dsl = teh suck. I loved my 3mbps down adelphia cable at my old house too =(

Box for shipping a hard drive?

Let me guess.. going to RMA a hard drive? hehe What i did was i found a box that would be the perfect size, then went to some craft store and bought fome, and just cut it up to the required size listed on the manufacturer's web site.

Hmmm, BIOS shows my 2500+ barton at 1100+...

166mhz FSB is default for barton cpu or 333fsb cpu. (166x2=332(333)) I'll ask him and see if he's interested hehe.

You have to change the FSB setting in your bios to 166mhz Leave everything else auto, unless you're overlocking ;) No need to flash bios unless you have some hardware conflit. Edit: nice mame unit.. my boss loves those.. he collects arcades hehe.

Having 2 CD-Drives

First off.. why would you even have the audio cable? the last time i used that was on an old soundblaster card. Just get rid of the audio cable, and enable digital audio on your cd drive like someone mentioned. You dont have to have the audio cable hooked up for the drive to work. Just pick one...

Upgrading a P4 2.4 533 worth it?

i have a p4 2.26 533 and i was thinking about this a month ago.. i figured it wasnt worth it.. My computer is still good for another 2-3 years.. I built a few 3.06ghz a few weeks ago, and their's not that much difference if you're just going to use it for basic operations.. Your computer is...

why the mouse switched to usb but not keyboard?

My Logitech Elite Duo has both usb ps/2 ports. and i use only the USB wire. ps/2 ports are so 1995 :D Legacy USB is all you need

Got an LCD...and my eyes hurt!!!
