I know I said I wasn't going to reply but lol... beggerking can you explain the above in your own words? What does it translate (input A and output B), where do the instructions come from and what are protocol'ed instructions? Where do the translated protocol'ed instructions go (software...)?

Nvidia's G80 has 32 pixel pipes

This is all handled by the hardware, the scheduling (drivers can influence it). As for heat there was a rumor that the heatsink from the 1800/1900s is being redesigned. ATi already has a working unified chip on the XBOX360 so this will be the second generation chip.

I have no idea what you are trying to say/prove with this point. Without an OS you wouldn't have a driver, they are OS specific. The video card will still function however (eg BIOS screen on your computer) except you get very, very basic functionality about the same as an OS gets without a...

Good job making yourself look even stupider. Read your own link, would be a start. For simplicity lets quickly examine how an OpenGL video drivers works. Your system has an opengl32.dll (and some others) which simply pass the called functions and arguments to the appropriate driver...

XBOX360 GPU is more powerful. You simply won't be able to do some of the things on the RSX that you can on Xenon (almost a DX10 chip).
