Question All-in-one printer recommendation?

You could look at the Canon Megatank series. I have a G3200 and the amount of ink that it holds is astounding. If you're in the US, you can probably find one for around $180. I paid around $300 CAD for mine, two years ago.

4 years old with a Vista exp. of 5.7

I'm curious, Frangelina, what driver did you use for your Vista install? I have the same controller but am unable to get Windows 7 to even see it (though I am installing it after the Win7 installation, just to recover some files from a disk)

Digital camera "XD" cards -- what are they?

The disadvantages of using xD cards are that they're more expensive (though not excessively so, anymore) and are not as fast as some of the high-speed cards offered in the SD and CF flavours. If you're not doing high-speed shooting, you won't notice much of a difference while using the camera...

I think it depends on what you mean by "fully loaded." Going by PC Power & Computing's Power Usage Page, if I take the minimum, stats on that page, I'd need 570 Watts minimum (after the 1.8 multiplier they suggest). For the maximum stats, I'd need 936! They also state "Furthermore, power...

I agree with the advice to always using max res. If you want to enlarge & crop a particular pic that might have surprised you in how good it is upon review, you'll be set. On 4MP(F) setting, you're at just under 2MB per picture. Probably about 140 pics on that card at max res & fine setting...
