Does MSI KM3M-V mobo have CPU temp readout?

According to MSI specs it does, but mine does not. In BIOS it shows "NA" after "CPU Temperature". I tried BIOS vers 3.1 & 3.2(latest) both of which were listed to have fixed this issue. In WinXP I tried PC Alert(from MSI) & MBMonitor5, neither show CPU temp. Board works fine...

    FireWire network?

I do believe it's chipset related, I tried a different USB2/FW card in my desktop & it worked just fine! That card had a VIA chipset controlling FW, the first card had a NEC, so it goes...everything else worked in both cards, ie USB 2.0, etc. :D

    FireWire network?

Thanx for that info...I tried uninstalling NetBEIU, but same problems. Not sure bout APM, but disabling ACPI in XP could be hazardious & require a OS reinstall. FW works fine with my ext HDD, tho maybe I should try different cable. I also bought a USB 2.0 file transfer cable($14) so I may go...

    AIW 9000 Pro with a KR7A?

Still have questions about AIW9000Pro, I assume it will work with most newer mainboards, also with LCD monitors(I have a ViewSonic VP191 LCD) using DVI cable. My main concern is when using DVI output with LCD: Can you see the POST screen when booting, when setting up BIOS, or booting into DOS...

    AIW 9000 Pro with a KR7A?

Yes, but to no avail...I've never found anyone who resolved this AIW8500 issue, even by going to a more powerful PSU or changing AGP driving value in BIOS. Seems to be a VIA chipset(KT266/A) & Award BIOS problem that just effects certain mainboards when used with the AIW 8500. In my case the...

    AIW 9000 Pro with a KR7A?

Anyone using this combination? I bought a AIW 8500 for my KR7A-133 & it will not post due to a unresolved BIOS issue. I'm thinking of ordering an ATi AIW 9000 Pro/64mb to do the job, but first I wanted to know if it will work okay. TIA

Trying to replace HDD in WinXP Pro?

I forgot to mention I can't get in to the XPPro Recovery Console, I never setup a password(left it blank) when installing XPPro. Now when my XP CD asks me for a password I can't get past that. I do not want to reinstall XPPro since that's too much work. I did set up a password as administrater...

Trying to replace HDD in WinXP Pro?

No, I'm aware XP will just boot off old C:Drive partition. I think you're right & I'll give that a try...how does ghost, etc deal with cloning smaller HDDs to much larger new HDD? Obviously some new partitions will be muchlarger, but does it give option on sizing, ie which ones? I have WDC...

Trying to replace HDD in WinXP Pro?

I've cloned WinXP Home successfully with 2 laptops, but I'm having problems doing that with XP Pro on my desktop. I want to use a larger HDD, so I imaged old HDD with Ghost 2003, but new restored image will not boot with new HDD(tried cloning a # of times). Is this an activation issue? Any one...
