Hmm. Basically I just took it out of the case and rebuilt it on the motherboard tray, reinstalled it into the case and then redid the power switch connector. The first few times I powered it up I had to press the power button twice, but its been fine ever since.

Mine did that exact same thing and I had to mess with it a bunch to get the power to work right. Weird.

Well, found out I have to run 2T command rate or else games crash, especially EQ2 =/ Other than that I'm BSOD and error free so far. Sisoft: CPU Arithmetic = 21850 mips, 14943 mflops CPU Multimedia = Integer is 131398, Floating-Point is 70,869 Memory Bandwith = Int 4706 MB, Float 4697...

Not sure why I updated the bios after I had windows installed and updated... However, I did do just that again. I got back through a windows install with lax memory timings (mainly 2T) and got to a windows desktop and immediately flashed to 2.1 bios (which seems to have a good track record...

Picked up this board and an E6600 yesterday. I've had nothing but problems. I did a clean format and install of XP Home (shipped with 1.9 bios) and everything was installing okay (mobo drivers, videocard drivers, soundcard drivers) and then I decided to upgrade to the latest bios (2.4)... ever...

half the power per mhz how? Memory, yes, as I discussed AA suffers due to bandwith. Core, no, 256bit core on 5700 Ultra, with higher clock than 5900SE. Also, based on 5950 core, direct derivative of nv35. How about you read my posts, then comment. Not in the other order.

Read ^^^ those and not just Digit-Life. If a 5900SE is close to a 5900, which isn't ahead of the 5700 Ultra by 30% in every game, then the 5700 Ultra would be beating the SE, correct. OK.

only review I've seen where SE beats 5700 Ultra is that 80 card review. The 5700 core is based on the nv35 core, only bottleneck is bandwith. It actually has improved shaders over the 5900.

I also have: 5800 Ultra 5950 Ultra 4600 4200 128mb 4200 64mb 9700 Pro (well, returned) 9800NP so if I have it, it must be the best? Nope. The BEST is probably the 9800 XT, depending on your take on ATi's current drivers. Your post says 9600XT blows 5700 Ultra blows blah blah 5900NU is king...

Website = not retail store. I searched high and low for a 5900NU in store, any store, when I got my 5700 Ultra. Couldn't find any, found one, at Circuit City, still 399, as I mentioned. There is no way a 400/700 SE 5900 can beat a 5700 Ultra. Not possible. My 5700 Ultra does 525/1000...

my point is that I WORK AT BEST BUY, WE NEVER SOLD THE 5900NU FOR 199, 299 MAX, AND WE DON'T CARRY IT ANYMORE. Some people like to purchase in a retail store, where the 5700 Ultra is available, but the 5900NU isn't. I didn't pay over 150 for my 5700 Ultra newayz. Good g0d.
