I've tried 5 different USB Type C to Type C cables (3 different Anker, one j5create, one Belkin) & the result is always the same - constant cycle of Mount then Unmount.
HP Spectre 13 (8th gen Core i7) is on the latest version of Windows 10 Home with latest HP & Intel drivers installed.

I recommend the Samsung Notebook 9 Pro 13.3" model. It comes with Core i7, 256GB SSD, 1080p screen, decent battery life, folds into a tent or tablet, and the excellent S Pen is integrated into the laptop housing. The Precision Touchpad is also very excellent. I've been using mine for about 3...
Hi guys, thx for your replies. I'm happy to report that the problem was been solved.
Here's what I did.
I booted the PC again with the WinXP Pro CD and instead of choosing the installation routine, I entered the "Recovery Console" mode. From this DOS mode, I changed to the C:\ drive...
Hi guys, I so wish you guys can help me. I consider myself pretty good in troubleshooting computers but this problem has gotten me really stumped and I haven't been able to use my desktop for the last 2 days.
**Here's a single statement of my problem before I get into the details: I can't...
I've owned this mobo for 6 months now and I'm impressed by its stability and performance despite the cheap price I've paid for. This mobo has allowed me to upgrade the PC piece by piece until I've reached my current level of build seen in my sig.
I was kind of apprehensive about puttinjg...
With the v2.40 BIOS, I can clock my E6600 at FSB 295 for 2.67GHz. When I used to have an AGP card installed--the BFG 6800GT OC flashed to Ultra--I had to set the PCIe option as async and run it at 117MHz.
With the PCIe BBA 1900XT 512MB, I can set FSB 295MHz but with PCIe set to "sync" and...
Unless you're the type that upgrades frequently, I say go for the E6400. It has more future flexibility with its 4MB of L2. I have mine and it's great!!
Well, I'm not interested in Crossfile or SLI. I also want to keep using my AGP 6800GT for a bit longer until I see a 32 pipeline part from nVIDIA. That's when I'll make a jump to PCIe x16 GPUs.
Hopefully by early 2006, the prices on the A64 X2 4400+ CPU's will be down to around $350-400.
I was thinking about jumping ship to AMD for my next upgrade as well. The ULI M1695 chipset with the southbridge that supports AGP8x sounds pretty nice. Now, only if Asus or Abit can make boards soon. =)
