Actually yes that is true, some do have .plist files however they are Preference list (.plist) files, and the link I posted to the application Applejack I posted removes those :) Thank you I totally forgot about those.

Yes this is true, to an extent, seeing as how OS X is built from a Unix core and not the NT Kernel it is written in a way that it doesn't have a kernel, however it uses what is called a kext cache, which in a way is like the windows registry. When you boot the system it loads this kext cache...

Actually, the PCIe ports you are talking about are option, I also don't see QE/CI enabled or supported there, also could be the fact that the SATA and LAN are both run from the southbridge as well..... Edit: I see the PCI graphics now is indeed on the northbridge, point still stands about the...

How are you running your video cards/are they detected properly in the about this mac? It seems like the network controller and the PCI controller are both running from the same chipset (North/Southbridge) and one is eating the bandwith causing the stutter in the display. I'd suggest you take...

I would suggest you use the disk utility to check and repair permissions, also if you google an app called "AppleJack" use it, great tool, run it using the following line: "applejack AUTO restart" Just a note, you have to run that application in single user mode, which if I remember correctly...
