connect ADSL and satalite at the same time?

i dont know why i think its something to do with his business or company.... the ADSL is just normal house internet for everyone to use, but the sat link is used for something else...probably business related as he works for a satalite company

Actually what am i talking about? he'll already have one ethernet port.... i just need to add in a second and hook the satalite link to that, then keep it disabled in the control panel until he wants to use it.

^ thats fine, its not me whos wanting to do this, its my girlfriends father.... he has an ADSL and sat link in the house and at the moment to use both he has to physically go plug hunting to swap between them just being able to right click and disable in XP's networking panel would probably...

connect ADSL and satalite at the same time?

How can i connect an ADSL line and a Satalite link to the same computer then switch between them via software on the computer? can i do this with a switch? i assume you can have both connections active and just disable one of them within windows depending on what you want?

i would get it if i were you..... its a horrible fact, but if it does fail you'll be covered. i mean these chips are soldered to the logic board so you need a whole new one and the prices ive seen are rediculous.

ive read a few cases where apple repaired the MBP when it was just out of warranty (ie a few weeks) because of this failure. they obviously know about it, but really what can they do? its Nvidia's problem

im sure you lot must of heard the news stories about the entire glut of 8600M GPU's, the ones used in laptops, are supposedly all bad due to a defective material being used in manufacturing. apparently this is leading to premature failures, especially on those that get a lot of heat cycling...

Build for brother

well 500 is absolute max, any savings that can be made, will be so i think im gonna stick by the 2nd hand parts. i thought about spending a little more on the GPU, its gonna be the most expensive part probably so getting one thats got a lot of life in it makes sense.... 4850 is a great card...

Battlefield: Bad Company

just completed the game.... i enjoyed it the storyline while nothing particularly ground breaking is quite interesting to follow, i found myself wanting to find out what happens next, what happens next. it was quite refreshing to have a story like that in a war game. the graphics are not...

ATi 4xxx Series Review

im more impressed with this 4800 series than i was with the new nvidia offering. sure the GT200 series are fast but i dunno, at 1.4billion trannies and 512bit memory bus i was just expecting a little bit more, especiallly for a $650 card. who knows, maybe we havent seen the best of those...

firefox on mac.... why so resource hungry?

i dunno if this is just me or this is a global thing, but FF on my mac regularly saps 20% just to sit there an do nothing. i had a regular forum page open on a forum i go to alot and its needing 20% to show a page that is comprised of just 3 colours. red, white n dark grey by comparison...
