I would not be surprised to see the Rampage II to be priced at $400. That kind of price is for the select few hard core crowd. These prices are in no way mainstream. A motherboard, cpu and memory will cost around $1000. Like I said not for the mainstream.
For $100 less it sounds like the Pro is the one to get. NE no longer has it for $99 with rebate. It is now $119 after rebate. Zip Zoom has it for $99 but it is out of stock. I should have picked it up when it was $99. Thanks guys for the info.
I was looking for the same exact info. I do not plan to crossfire. The deluxe also has 16 phase power and it looks like better cooling. I also have an auzentech prelude soundcard so audio is not a factor for me.
I know it is not the gts and this topic is about the gts. However, I was just stating that there is a good price for the 8800gt. It doesn't seem to me that the over $100 price difference between the 2 cards is justified in performance gain. Just my opinion.
That is exactly what I do. I am using a 61" 1080p dlp and have the same setup. I pull out the table, setup the wireless mouse and keyboard and am good to go. The picture is very sharp. Remember I am not using a pc lcd monitor so there is not any degrading of the picture with this size screen...
According to daily tech posted by Anand: http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=9474, the new gts's are to be released early December with up to 1 gig ram. Glad I waited and did not jump to get a 8800gt. I run 1080p resolution and 1 gig ram would be great for me
