ok well let me clear that up for you .. the initial boot read never happens, i never seen any bios screen or anything
i do however hear 1 very short beep just like a normal POST
ive tried like everything i can think of .. nothing is making it give any kind of video signal though, the monitor still sits in standby mode while the computer posts
all i did was move the computer from one to another and it sat in the other room for a couple days before i plugged it back in and what not .. are you saying i could have possibly damaged it somehow?
I setup a computer today that had just been sitting idle on the floor for a couple days and all of a sudden it will not receive a video signal when booting up. I have already tried three different video cards (2 agp and 1 pci) and three different monitors. Any others idea as to what could have...
I am aware that the p4 1.6a is extremely overclockable .. does this also apply to the 1.8a and 2.0a ?
if so, what method is suggested to overclock these northwood cpu's ?

I need the computer on the wireless connection to be able to access files and printers located on the wired network, so I dont think just a wireless router will work .. any other suggestions?
