It doesn't cut down very much. The batteries are temperature regulated to increase range in any condition. In winter, my model S doesn't lose range unless I use the heater. Sadly, the heater eats the hell out of a battery. However, as the car is garaged and has a preconditioning feature...

HumblePie is spot on. I wanted to add a couple of other cities to this list -- Sugar Land and The Woodlands. The Woodlands is very nice, very upscale, and almost like a small Austin in some ways with the amount of parks, pathways, and greenery. It is also home to Anadarko, a huge oil company...

Your best bet is to use city-data to do a comparison on the big 3 -- Austin, Dallas, and Houston. Also, don't forget to do some cost of living comparisons via wolfram alpha. Each one has a unique personality type so I would really recommend you spend a week or so vacationing in the 3 cities...

Kinda like asking a customer will you be there in 30 minutes to take delivery? Then, customer meets at rendezvous and receives package. For some reason, it reminds me of something in the Hunger Games. Life imitates Art.

Just noticed the Infiniti Q30 concept

I just noticed this car for the first time yesterday. Wow. I realize many on here are pure sports car enthusiasts, but this car has some nice curves on it. I just hope they reuse the 3.7 L engine of the current G/Q series...

Hey that's where I live and I have never even seen this company around before! Technically, I guess DMC is in Humble, but being near the Beltway, it is more like North Houston. Still, I have never seen this company listed in anything or even heard a peep about them on the radio, TV, etc...
