New Vista install, cant figure out chipset

Thank you ObiDonCanobi! I had CPU on my HDD but forgot about it! I also checked the Realtek website, and they actuall just today have released new drivers for all windows versions...perhaps this audio problem will be easier to resolve than I imagined :)

Determining PC hardware bottlenecks

I have my OS, HDTV, and TEMP folder for my P2P on the system drive, which is a fast SATA2 16MB, and I have my P2P storage files on my second Maxtor 200GB 8MB IDE drive. Additionally, I have my P2P cache at MAX of 1.5MB, in order to take the stress off the disk drives. I almost never exceed 60%...

Need tuner for computer

ANTENNAS for most over the air will be uterly useless for NTSC, unless you like snow and crap. I cannot get a watchable picture on my FusionHDTV card on analog, but every digital channel is 100% crystal clear and perfect......then again, I can physically see the mountain out my window :D

what oh what to spend my money on?

You could also throw in a $60-100 HDTV PC tuner card.......would look SWEEEEET on tose monitors....I use my PC as Media Center, damn things hooked up to my living room TV and recording shows 24/7, love digital TV :)

Computer from hell

Perhaps it would make diagnostics easier if you UNCLOCKED your OVERCLOCKING mods, and installed the OS as normal, to determin if your setup works A-OK like that FIRST, then proceed with OVERCLOCKING then that you would have "baseline" data to work with?

Cant use disks, all icons show as IE

Oh, and I just tried to mount it and it had similar behavior to my g/f........I did noting. But at least the icons are normal when mounted. Running the setup.exe does nothing. Paul

Cant use disks, all icons show as IE

All the DVD games I have burned now have an Internet Explorer E icon shown on the DVD and nothing will run or launch. Does anyone know how to get rid of this and return everything back to what it was? its extremely annoying. paul

Disk drive question - trying to add a drive

Strangly enough I was reading the manual on my new Maxtor drive as I found your post. I am on my jumper page, and it shows master as jumper position left, slave as no jumper, and cable slective as jumper on second from the left. hope that helps. I am going to try installing my second drive...

Laptop Display won't work

New XFX 7600 AGP Graphics card
