Snow gear and rental cars

We just completed a nice ski vacation in Utah, traveling from NorCal in our own car. I had a ski box and winter tires on it, and everything went off without a hitch. However, the drive is a major drag. 11-12 hours of Nevada desert, crossing endless summits until you get to Salt Lake City. Done...

Thanks for bringing up Johnny Walker. Naturally, I was thinking of getting one (a Green Label), but if you guys say Macallan is a better choice, I'll stick to that.

I'd like to send a gift to a colleague of mine for a favor at work. Budget - $50-$60. I'm thinking of shipping a bottle of scotch, but I know next to nothing about them (just never got into it). What would be a good brand/label to send? Thanks!

Ah, ok. I feel I need an explanation on that one. I am doing a conference and manning the booth. We could either ship one of the TVs we have just for that purpose, or, buy a $250 junk TV at Target, use it at a conference for demos, raffle it out as a traffic generator, not have to ship it back...
