I got around this by using a 3 pin fan extension cable plugged onto the cmos clear jumpers, stuck it through an open slot cover at the back, with the cmos clear jumper stuck on the end.
Works a treat and never have to open the case to clear the cmos.
My PWM goes up to around 70C under load. My Overclock is the same as yours but my Vcore is 1.35V VID is 1.3.
I have noticed the cores on my quad have different temps under load. Cores 0 and 1 around 63C at load but cores 2 and 3 are usually around 3-5C lower. I think its normal and your temps...
Good luck with the build.
The memory is guarenteed by Corsair to run at 2.1V so no warranties will be broken run at that voltage. I doubt the chip life will shorten that much. Maybe a little but when it does die I doubt we'd still be using it.
However, as they are warrantied to 2.1V you...
It does indeed run fine with the IP35-e board. I use the exact same kit in my board.
Its default VDimm is 1.8V @ 5-5-5-18 timings. It however runs at 2.1V 4-4-4-12. This needs to be set once your booted. But it will boot at 1.8V Fine on default timings.
Overclocks easily to DDR 1000 @ 2.1V...
I used ddr2 800 with my sata2 board, but only 2x1GB sticks. Never tried 2GB sticks. It is best to stick with 1.8v ram as the asrock only gives about 2v max. Using non spec ram might cause booting issues.
I dont think the Pin8 will make a difference as I have seen many psu's with it missing that seem fine.
Seems to be way too many issues with certain PSU's and the p35 chipset.
Had the same issue with my hd3850 when i tested it in my sata2 board. It doesnt work on my vsta board with my x800gt aiw I use as an htpc.
Anyhoo different question. Sold my RMA'd SATA2 board and the lad I sold it too wants to stick in a cheapo cpu, as he has a celeron 478 system based on...
Hi there,
Finally got my IP35-e today, built it up with the q6600 and 2x1gb corsair ram etc.
Had a few problems initially with my pata cdrom not being picked up by the jmicron ide connector. Flashing to 14b05 seems to have fixed it. Also had missing NIC port, non working PCI slots and...
Yep I already have it as I used it on the asrock mainboard.
Doesnt look like im getting it today now, parcel has been misrouted to nottingham instead of Newcastle.
I agree about the UK support division of Abit,. RMA'd an NF7 years back and had a new board within a week. One of the reasons I've come back.
Anyhoo on another note, I have an IP35-e arriving today to pair with a q6600 slackr and an hd3850512mb card. Also 2x1GB Corsair TwinX DDR2 6400C4 or...
I've done this after my 2nd SATA2 failure. RMA'd both my q6600 and mobo. Bought an IP35-e thats arriving today and an HD3850 512mb that came this morning.
As you say, its a good crossover board but once you start getting all the next gen stuff then its time to ditch it.
