I am working on my second build. I am running a 4500E processor, MSI p35 Platnum, and all that booted okay and would go into standby silently. When I installed my video card it just beeps. It is one long beep. and it doesnt ever shut up.
There is no video either. HALP. Did I get a bad card?
Most of the 8800GT cards i find are at PCIe 2.0.
The motherboard I have picked out for my build is:

It says nothing about PCIe 2.0
Will my card be compatible?

i'm building a new budget gaming system. I already have a copy of 32bit XP SP2. I am wondering if it is worth spending the extra cash on the 64bit vista os. Will i notice the performance what do you guys think?
