I have the same monitor and I use the HDMI and component inputs. I've never had this happen to me. It must be a defective unit.

Take a look at this. On 6-bit panels those images will have dithering patterns. Some panels are better at dithering than others, and it's possible that you don't notice it. The TN panel I have at work is quite good at this, but I can still notice the dithering artifacts if I look carefully. My...

That's typical VA color shift on the Eizo. I don't know about the NEC one, it seems different (must be, it's an IPS panel).

It looks like VA monitors are not for you. They all lag 2-3 frames behind, unless you disable overdrive, and I'm not sure if there's such an option on any of them. Even then, ghosting is a problem, especially on black to grey transitions. As for me, I'm not bothered by input lag. I played...

I've recently bought the VX2435wm too, based on the recommendations here. I'm quite satisfied with it. I had a 17inch LCD before (Samsung 173P) and the extra 7 inches are a big jump for me. I was considering the Dell 2408WFP too, but it's ~150 euros more expensive here. A few points worth...
