I did review the OS, at a point I explicitly say enough about the hardware and move on. Another thing is that the OS is so minimal to be nonexistent, that's why I communicate the experience rather than the sparse software.

It will never be on sale, I'm on the pilot program, beta testing the chrome os. The hardware will be built by other manufactureres, this one is just a test base.
for headphones, I'd rather get an external dac. No point in the bells and whistles of a card. Dac destroyer can be had under 50 on ebay and will beat any soundcard out there.
sony nex5 would be leaps and bound better than any of the compact options. Other good ones are some micro four thirds cameras such as the panasonic gf1/2 and the olympus ep but sony is exceptional in image quality and the kit lenses are fabulous as well.
Free trade is towards the capitalist side of the economy that relies on the growth of money, usually in the hands of the owners and the already rich. I believe the man has the right to read on both ends. I would advise karl marx but that might be a little heavier than the introduction you want...
