I think people are being a bit myopic regarding GPU performance. It is important for some people in some workloads. Not everybody games, and with the NPU the GPU is prioritized for these non-graphic workloads as well. I am not sure who buys a T&L to play games locally, but GFN and Gamepass...

Yes, if it works, the feature will be life-changing for some. Annnd they had it storing everything in plaintext 🤦 Edit: Prism sounds like a huge leap forward. This was my biggest worry, so I am excited to see if some previously unusable software now works on WARM (Anaconda distro in particular).

Exactly, that's my point. Like mobile chipsets, there is no model-TDP map, it's whatever oems want to do. The M4 makes this really clear. Give it enough cooling and it'll run much faster. I hope this marks the beginning of sane power limits in windows laptops. Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong...
