Dryer vent is supposed to be labeled washer drain vent (the AAV). It's to the top right of the picture. You're right about the label, good catch. That should be named the washer drain pipe. The dryer vent is not shown in this picture.

Hodge podge!. With basic comprehension of Boolean algebra, that's practically all you need. Translating gates into math is all it takes. Knowing about CMOS / TTL, timing constraints, CDCs, IP, clocking, drive strength, power domains, etc. and other aspects of digital electronics can come later...

Faraday Cage - Block UHF but not GPS

Maybe try adding a high-pass / notch filter to the GPS receiver. GNSS (Had to look it up) appears to operation in the GHz range, and your UHF of concern is half that. Should be somewhat straight forward without having to use any kind of grounding / shielding / cage / etc.

Do this. The RISC-V IP is free and can be imported (read: HDL) into any viable vendor's tool (Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, Microsemi Libero SoC). Some vendors even offer it in their IP catalog for free so you don't need to download the source yourself. I'm an FPGA / Board Design Engineer...
