Anyone else think it's pointless to upgrade now?

Cool, I suppose the biggest bottleneck on a hd 4850 is bandwidth, so that should help out :) Still wondering whether the 8-pin connector makes any difference.

Just take nitromullets results for what they are. He isn't showing, nor trying to show us a definite face-off between the hd 4870x2 and gtx 280. As he mentions from the start, he has chosen to benchmark the games where he noticed a difference. And that is really the key here. With a monitor only...

Asus gtx 260 TOP, high binned?

Hey folks, I have a simple question: Do you believe that the TOP version of asus gtx 260 is high binned, or do all people actually seem to exceed 650 core, 1300 shader and 1150 memory on their standard gtx 260's? Hardocp managed 720 core 1500 shaders and 1300 memory when they overclocked...

How do you know that extra voltage was actually applied when you manually changed the voltage to 1.18v?

Anyone else using the ATI tray tools 1.5 beta for 4800s?

You probably can't go higher because the core lacks voltage to operate at higher clocks than 820. Some people can't even get their 4870 to run at 800 core...

Anyone Holding onto their 8800GT

CPU Bottlenecking at Digit-Life, yes we need faster CPUs as much as we need faster GPUs

Why are Most People Still Recommending the 4870?

In my country, Denmark, the cheapest 4870's go for 380 $ and the cheapest gtx 260's go for 470 $. If only the prices were equal, I would pick the gtx 260 simply because I like hardware with lots of overclocking headroom. But I simply can't justify paying 90 $ more for a 260 when a 4870 offers 10...
