I'm giving up and getting a HD3870 instead, also because of problems with older games and the Nvidia card. Hope it works.. :)

Incompatibility with older games - Nvidia vs. ATI

Tried both PAL-B (supposed to be the correct one) and PAL-G, no luck. The connections are firmly in.

Uhhh, ok, now I've got a good image (but in 800x600), although it's black and white. Sigh. Edit: The black/white problem was because of 0 saturation. Now I'm back to not even being able to get the steady 800x600 image, and it still should be 640x480, dammit.

I think it does have composite, but I haven't tried it. I can't even select the custom resolution I've created in the Nvidia Control Panel. It does not appear neither in the Display Options (which doesn't recognize the TV anyway) nor in the Nvidia CP.

Hi, This seems to be a heavily debated topic, but googling reveals nothing conclusive. I'm using WinXP, have an 8800 GTS, and have it hooked up to my old regular CRT TV with an s-video cable. I have the latest Nvidia drivers. The TV detects fine, but selecting any resolution on the TV...

Shutdown reboots the computer instead

E6750 & Gigabyte P35C-DS3R Overclocking Thread

I have a 6750 and a DSR3 motherboard, with Corsair 4-4-4-12 DDR2 memory. I have a question: I can't find any way to fiddle with the timings in my BIOS, only that Memory Speed Multiplier. How do you set your timings? I'm only going for a moderate OC (atm 3.0 GHz), so can I live fine with 4-4-4-12?

just so you know, the stock fan is absurdly loud. i simply couldn't stand being in room with it, so i went out and bought a Zalman 7000Cu. ahhhh, much better.

Bunch of Nvidia vs ATI threads, Where are 3Dfx fans in these days?

3dfx made some killer cards with Voodoo 1-3, went a bit downhill with the 5'er, and then died as we all know. imo, we should be thankful for their voodoo1 and 2 cards in particular, they helped spawn a revolution in 3d game graphics without doubt.

DVD is acting weird - explorer reports files as being 0 bytes, WinDVD won't play it (but i can rip it)

nah that isn't the problem, it's multi-region and this isn't normal. thanks though.
