Looks like a mistake - a Google image search shows no hole on the side of the RC-534 w/ window.
If there is no side window then there is a vent for a 80mm fan (as with my Centurion 530) so maybe they got it confused with that?
In fact, looking at the Coolermaster site the error was made...
Sorry, my bad!
That's what I was thinking of, but I'm not good with terminology. It was the very last bit ("The condensed liquid then travels back "down" by gravity") which I wasn't sure about
Isn't it something to do with the fact its self enclosed and heat will just go to the other end of the heatpipe through dissipation (so?), so it doesn't matter?
Sorry, that's more of a question than an answer, but I think it's the reason :)
I have the Zalman Fatal1ty (with red LED) on my 7950GT and I used to have a VF-900...
The Fatal1ty gets better temperatures but is slightly louder at stock than the VF-900, although it can easily be controlled by any fan controller. Both would be up to the job I would imagine.
Well, hard drive hasn't turned up :( Been delayed by the fog.
So, repaired my current Windows install and just testing :)
Currently priming at 260mhz x 9 = 2340mhz with 1.45V (read as 1.44V), with my RAM at 1:1, 2.8V, 3-4-4-8.
Lapping kit isn't here yet, but RAM is - so I've fitted the RAM and reseated the HSF with AS5 (got some Shin Etsu n the way with the lapping kit). A bad picture of the RAM:
I loaded into the BIOS, and changed these settings, leaving the rest on auto:
DRAM Frequency: 200mhz...
Its not here yet :( Taken the heatsink off in advance, but its been delayed in the post so it looks like it'll be tomorrow or even Thursday :(
I know its reasonable - I've had it up to 270mhz but I honestly don't know if that was with Prime95 stable, it was ages ago (on the stock cooler too)
I'm not lapping my CPU - I'm not quite that nuts ;) Just the heatsink.
I've found a thread over at XtremeSystems with lists of steppings and how high people have gotten them, but I can't find any which are APNW - just one elsewhere on the forum and that guy doesn't give any definite results
Just taken the heatsink off my CPU ready for lapping.
My stepping:
LBBLE 0517 APNW
A google search revealed just two results, one at 300mhz FSB and one at 310mhz FSB.
Is it any good?
Thanks!
I'm perfectly comfortable with dividers - I was using them with my last motherboard and a bit with my current one.
IIRC, with my last MB (Abit AX8) I reached ~230mhz FSB with stock VCore and then SuperPi started slowing down and became unstable and then I raised it.
