$18 for the 25gb discs
$40 for the 50gb discs
No the cheapest as far as $/gb, but hopefully they'll drop. As for myself, I use ultrium tapes to back-up TBs of data.
I went to Lowe's and bought a 14x14" slab of marble. It makes a great mouse surface, very unique, and works great with a laser mouse. It causes some problems with regular optical mice though, so keep that in mind.
Yea, a micro-ATX will fit fine in an ATX case. The screw holes will still match up...you'll just have some space between the bottom of the board and the bottom of the case.
I'm actually using a mini-atx board in a G70 for the time being. Yes, it looks a little goofy, but it just needs to...
So my laptop has died off this last week (video and memory problems) and I was wondering whether I can use the 1.8ghz P4-M chip to build up a media pc. I'm specifically looking at this board:

It mentions...

Might want to start looking things up before talking about vaporware. I'm not saying this is "affordable", but DL blu-ray discs exist and I can go pick one up in about 20 minutes if I felt like.
Cookie Monster, to be honest, I had a junk/loud HSF on an older P4 1.6A before I got my 2.8C with retail hsf. So my perspective may be a little warped since the first thought that went through my mind was "wow, this retail hsf is a real piece of work! I can actually have a conversation within a...
I've got the 7700cu and it's worked well for me. I'm at around 42C load on a stock 2.8C northwood (it hit ~50C max when I was O/Cing it to 3.2 IIRC). I've actually had it idle down to 22C when a cold front came in...it wasn't very comfortable in the room when the only heat was coming out of the...
I have no idea about any of those questions. If anyone does, I'd love to hear about the differences. I'm positive it'll be an upgrade over onboard sound.
Kind of related, how much power does a typical hard drive require? I'm looking at a few drive specs and it seems they typically need about 13w each (Seagate 7200.10 in particular, but I'm guessing it's about the same for most drives). Is this about right?
1min 27sec on a p4 2.8 northwood w/ 2 gigs pc3200 (using CS2)
I had it clocked at 3.2ghz, but dropped it back to stock speeds a few weeks ago. I might try the o/c again later.
Does anyone know of a way to play Shockwave Flash movies (*.swf) files as the wallpaper for WinXP? I've got a couple of pretty sweet flash movies that would find a great home there.
Thanks!
