Hi I've been looking and researching a laptop for what I need. I'm in college and I am a Media Arts major with and emphasis in music with a minor in theater production. I need a laptop that I can record and edit audio, edit videos, and the ability to use AutoCAD 07. But I'm somewhat of a...
I got mine about 2 years ago come end of july. I dont think they've changed the test since then I took the 2003 version. I took a 10 week course at my local community college over the summer when I was in high school. The course helped me some what on the hardware portion but majorly on the...
Do you have a PATA drive laying around that you could possibly try? If you do disconnect the SATA drives and connect the PATA drive and install Windows XP on to that drive without the nVidia IDE storage drivers. See if that causes your BSOD's to go away if they do then it looks like the nVidia...
Yes, but I'm not talking about the direction of the cable im talking about the end of the cable, the connector. The acutal connector needs to be flipped at the drive. You have the direction of the cable right, but try flipping the connector on the cable upside down and plugging it in the drive.
Sounds like you have the cable connected to the floppy drive connected the wrong way meaning pin #1 is not matching with pin #1 on your motherboard. You may have the right ends, but it you need to reverse the connector on the drive and plug it in the other way.

What kinda mobo do you have? If you know you find out what kind of bios chip you have and you can count out the beep codes and look them up here. or if you have the book for your mobo it should have the beep codes in the book.
I had the same problem you. I have 2x 6800GTs in sli while playing wow. What I did to fix it was completely uninstall the forceware drivers in safe mode and installed 3dguru drivers from here. I hope this helps.
Good info thanks again...
I'm pretty conviced that it is the power supply. But last night I had the idea of opening the case up and putting a fan in front of it...no reboots, no crashes, no errors. Now to me it sound like overheating. haveing a fan in front of it is really annoying, so I...
