Typical hard-drive crash, but what are my options?

Broken hard-drive?

Yeah, that would have been my first move, but unfortunately I am on a laptop (I know I said PC, sorry). I guess I'll try to find someone who can let me use their computer for this, since the old one I took the HD out of is fried. Thanks.

So I bought a USB 2.0 enclosure for an old HD from a system I don't use anymore, installed the drive, connected it to my current PC and it was working fine. The drive was partitioned however, so rather than just deleting everything, I tried using Computer Management under Admin Tools in Win XP...

Best way to convert VHS to DVD?

So basically, I want to take a bunch of tapes (mostly home movies) and convert them all to DVDs, mostly for the sake fo space and preservation. I guess my options are either buying a DVD recorder to hook up to my TV and VHS, which seems easier, or getting a DVD writer and a tuner card and going...

Build a projector out of a tv for cheap!

Ignorant question: would putting two lenses in the projector not reverse the image back to normal? But yeah, I am definitely going to try this once I get back to school, and maybe even at home for the hell of it. Thanks!

Video card reviews should include a CPU/video card scale...

1) I assume, and maybe I'm wrong, that if the US got into another serious military operation, it could count on some kind of Israeli support, considerign they need the US to back them up. 2) Getting into a conflict with NK would be suicide! Look at Iraq; how many troops do we already have...
